POSITION TITLE:                              Stock Controller (Purchase Coordinator)

REPORT TO:                                                          Parts Manager

 

POSITION CONCEPT:

 

Responsible for the most cost-effective Purchase of parts and stock control to ensure optimum parts availability in line with business plans and budgets.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Receive all ordered spare parts, check and review quantities and items against the order Classify all items by the right codes and locations and update records accordingly.
  2. Conduct periodical inventory checks and ensure optimum availability of
  3. Keep stock records clear, accurate, and updated at all times. Ensure technical classification and item master data updates are completed on
  4. Perform periodical inventory
  5. Monitor the research and evaluation of all potential sources of parts and analyze those most suitable and cost-effective to the company within the parameters of franchise
  6. Support individual purchasers by maintaining contact with key suppliers concerning quality, quantity, availability, and
  7. Maintain contact with alternative supply sources (e.g. OE suppliers, franchised dealers) for use when the manufacturer’s direct supply lines prove
  8. Select the best suppliers for quality, logistics, and price and coordinate with the finance department regarding the negotiation of the most attractive payment
  9. Ensure that all orders are planned and processed on due time to minimize stocking
  10. Regularly track and monitor the actual purchase against the plan and budget. Identify deviations, if any, and report to the department
  11. Assist the Parts Manager in researching for potential additional franchises which might be beneficial to the
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate

 

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:

  1. Ensure subordinates have clear objectives and challenging
  2. Ensure subordinates receive appropriate guidance and training. Recommend training required by all subordinates regularly and specifically at the time of annual
  3. Maintain continuous two-way communications with the team to better understand their concerns and needs.
