Job Overview

We are looking for Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidates will be responsible for designing
within the MEP team in undertaking mechanical designs of
residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare and industrial
projects of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Design under the guidance of the Head of MEP Team and
Head of In-House Unit & ensure that the design is in
accordance with the codes & regulations of the industry.
• Develop accurate mechanical drawings.
• Follow the schedule and comply with deadlines assigned by
Head of MEP and Head of In-House Unit.
• Collaborate with structural engineers, MEP engineers,
architects and other design team members to develop
efficient and cost-effective mechanical designs.
• Ensure that mechanical designs comply with applicable
building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Review and integrate mechanical drawings with other
disciplines such as structural, architectural, electrical, and
plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Ensure timely submission of mechanical designs to meet
project schedules and milestones assigned by the Head of
In-House Unit.
• Oversee the use of design software (e.g., Autodesk Revit,
Navisworks and AutoCAD for drafting; etc.) to develop
accurate mechanical drawings and models.
• Assist in solving complex design challenges by offering
practical and innovative solutions.
• Attend project meetings to discuss progress, and resolve issues within the Team, as well as within In-House Unit.
• Collaborate with the Review Unit for faster and more efficient
design output.
• Knowledge of Plumbing and Sanitary design
Familiarity with design standards and codes according to the
building type and program requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience as Mechanical Engineer
designer of residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare
and industrial projects and other civil projects.
• Familiarity with the International Codes such as: ASHRAE
62.1: Ventilation and Acceptable Indoor Air Quality; ASHRA;
90.1: Energy Standard for Sites and Buildings Except Low-Rise
Residential Building; IMC 603.2: Duct Sizing; SMACNA 2005:
HVAC Duct Construction Standard; Metal and Flexible etc.

Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in the use of the software used in the mechanical
design such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks etc.
• Comprehensive knowledge & understanding of the
international & local codes in mechanical design.
Able to produce a comprehensive and detailed working
drawings for mechanical plans, details, for residential,
commercial, hospitality, healthcare & industrial projects and
other civil projects.
