Job Overview
IT Infrastructure Management
- Maintain and upgrade IT systems, networks, and hardware to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee the installation and configuration of computer systems and software.
- Manage cloud services and local servers.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
IT Security and Data Protection
- Implement cybersecurity measures to protect organizational data and IT assets.
- Conduct regular system audits and backups.
- Ensure compliance with data protection policies and relevant regulations.
Technical Support and Training
- Provide technical support to staff on hardware, software, and network issues.
- Develop and deliver IT training sessions for employees.
- Create user guides and IT documentation to improve staff proficiency.
System Administration and Network Management
- Oversee network administration, including firewalls, VPNs, and internet connectivity.
- Manage IT assets, keeping an updated inventory of all hardware and software.
- Coordinate with vendors for IT procurement and support.
Software and Database Management
- Ensure proper functionality and security of databases and management systems.
- Oversee software licensing and compliance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of customized IT solutions for operational needs.
IT Policy Development and Compliance
- Develop and enforce IT policies, including acceptable use policies, security policies, and disaster recovery plans.
- Stay updated on technological trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure IT operations align with organizational strategy and donor requirements.
4. Qualifications and Experience
- Master degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in IT administration, preferably in the NGO sector.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, and database management.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Knowledge of IT security principles and data protection regulations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
