Job Brief:
We are looking for a smart and talented Research and Development Manager who can perform several important roles within our organization. You will be responsible for research, planning, and implementing new programs and protocols into our company. You will also be required to oversee the entire development process of new products and programs within the organization.
Job Description:
- Works closely with Department Staff to ensure alignment and prioritization around road maps, portfolio management, and budgets.
- Promote a productive R&D culture that is motivated and accountable having a customer focus on innovation, quality, and improving the user experience.
- Responsible for developing and monitoring research and development plans for the R&D group, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, in accordance with the Corporate and Department Strategic Plans and Road maps.
- Conducting market research and evaluating similar products and their functions.
- Help HR Manager on hiring new staff for the department.
- Explore new scientific technologies and approaches, and determine their applicability, while keeping abreast of competitive products and technology advances.
- Collaborating with the engineering and marketing department on product feasibility.
- Redesigning existing products to enhance functionality or reduce costs.
- Presenting product designs to management and stakeholders.
- Overseeing the engineering of product prototypes.
- Testing prototype products for functionality, ease-of-use, and longevity.
- Resolving product issues.
- Overseeing the production process.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or relevant field.
- +3 Years of experience in R&D.
- Excellent leadership and managerial skills.
- Great problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience in managing or leading a team of employees.
- Understanding of best practices in innovation, portfolio management, and customer centric approach to product development.
- Creative thinking and ability to drive performance and user experience requirements.
- Demonstrated research record and experience in developing new consumables products.
- Understanding of material manufacturing processes.
- Strong drive for excellence.
- Good business sense.
