| Overview of position | Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental, and non- governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.
Under the overall supervision of the Senior Protection Associate, the direct supervision of the Senior Protection Assistant (Multiple Locations), and in close coordination with other colleagues including from the Migrant Resource and Response Mechanism (MRRM), the Migration Health Department (MHD) and the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHSS) unit, the successful candidate will identify protection risks, trends and capacities in vulnerable communities through ongoing community outreach and participation and provide support for protection cases identified requiring specialised assistance. |
