Protection Assistant ( Legal Aid)
TRIPOLI, LIBYA Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified candidate to fill in the position of Protection Assistant (Legal Aid) for our Country operations in Tripoli, DRC is an equal opportunity employer, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world. DRC started its Country operations in Libya in 2011, with expertise in Protection, WASH, Shelter, Economic Recovery and Community Safety. About the job: The Protection Assistant – Legal Aid is responsible to implement DRC legal activities including legal information dissemination, legal counselling, and legal assistance to Libyan and non-Libyan populations in need of humanitarian assistance. In close coordination with the Protection Officer – Legal Aid and other DRC Protection teams and field units, the Assistant is an active member of the protection team, involved in different field-based activities related to legal aid. This includes providing advice on all forms of civil documentation, identifying gaps and trends among communities, support to access to legal services, and inform development of materials related to services and rights.
