Job Title: Procurement Manager.

Job Location: Tripoli

Job Brief:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for procurement planning, costing, negotiation, warranties, specifications and related supply chain and logistics management functions for several projects within our client .

Responsibilities

1. Development of procurement strategies for preparation and presentation to directors.
2. Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships.
3. Manage the procurement operations.
4. Accurately manage all aspects of procurement from negotiation to delivery.
5. Promote safety and awareness among Supply Chain and Vendor staff aimed at zero accident / incident rate.
6. Accountable for approval of Bid-Lists and purchase orders up to certain limit of authority.
7. Participate in prequalification of suppliers as necessary and evaluation of commercial bids.
8. Ensure all Contract and Purchase Order close-out is undertaken in a timely manner, including the resolution of claims as and when required.
9. Oversee estimation of Freight costs and call-off freight forwarding services from suppliers, to meet required on-site dates at minimum costs.
10. Provide sound advice on specifications and actively takes the lead negotiating high value contracts.
11. Commands credibility and gains suppliers respect.
12. Promote procurement influence, while establishing long-lasting working relationships.
13. Play a key role in the leadership of cross-functional procurement team members.
14. Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
15. Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.
16. Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
17. Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
18. Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.

Required  Skills & Qualification:

1. BSc degree in Engineering.
2. 10 years Proven working experience.
3. Talent in negotiations and networking.
4. Decision making and working with numbers.
5. Experience in collecting and analyzing.
6. Strong leadership capabilities.
7. Time Management Skills.
