Peacebuilding Coordinator
[Tripoli] Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified Peacebuilding Coordinator to ensure quality standards and innovative approaches in the implementation of the Libya DRC Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding programme.
About the job: As DRC Libya Peacebuilding Coordinator you are responsible for the strategic development and technical supervision of the Peacebuilding-Community Safety activities which aim at strengthening the resilience and social cohesion of conflict affected communities via participatory processes, conflict analysis and management as well as security governance. In line with DRC Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (HDP) sector approach, you are ultimately responsible in ensuring the high quality of the Peacebuilding-Community Safety programme, providing technical guidance and building the team capacity along the project cycle management phases. You are also shaping the strategic development of DRC Peacebuilding-Community safety sector and its contribution to DRC presence in the country in line with DRC advocacy and programme strategy.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
About you: To be successful in this role we expect you to have experience in conflict sensitivity and management, expertise in strategic programme development and implementation with a focus on civil society engagement in communities impacted by the consequences of armed violence.
