POSITION TITLE: Local Purchaser
REPORT TO: Parts Manager
POSITION CONCEPT:
Responsible for the local purchase of parts required to support all franchised held.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for purchasing parts required to support all franchises
- Evaluate all potential sources of parts and analyze those most suitable and cost-effective to the company within the parameters of franchise agreements.
- Liaise with Import Purchaser regarding the optimum (foreign or local) source (regarding quality, availability, logistics, and price) of parts for foreign franchises held.
- Research the local market for potential additional franchises which might be beneficial to the company & report to the immediate manager
- Maintain contact with local component manufacturers capable of manufacturing/ supplying relevant
- Maintain contact with local distributors who stock parts compatible with company franchise
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
- Ensure subordinates have clear objectives and challenging
- Ensure subordinates receive appropriate guidance and training. Recommend training required by all subordinates regularly and specifically at the time of annual
