POSITION TITLE:                              Local Purchaser

REPORT TO:                                      Parts Manager

POSITION CONCEPT:

Responsible for the local purchase of parts required to support all franchised held.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for purchasing parts required to support all franchises
2. Evaluate all potential sources of parts and analyze those most suitable and cost-effective to the company within the parameters of franchise agreements.

1. Liaise with Import Purchaser regarding the optimum (foreign or local) source (regarding quality, availability, logistics, and price) of parts for foreign franchises held.
2. Research the local market for potential additional franchises which might be beneficial to the company & report to the immediate manager
3. Maintain contact with local component manufacturers capable of manufacturing/ supplying relevant
4. Maintain contact with local distributors who stock parts compatible with company franchise
5. Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:

1. Ensure subordinates have clear objectives and challenging
2. Ensure subordinates receive appropriate guidance and training. Recommend training required by all subordinates regularly and specifically at the time of annual
3. Maintain continuous two-way communications with the team to better understand their concerns and needs.

5. Monitor functions of subordinates on a timely
