Job Brief
Security engineers are responsible for testing and screening security software and for monitoring networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information
- Identify and define system security requirements
- Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices
- Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement
- monitoring and assessing emerging threats and vulnerabilities to the environment and ensuring those requiring action are addressed
- Security Incident Management, advice and education and maintaining the currency and health of the deployed security tools
- Perform penetration tests/vulnerability assessments on company’s systems and software
Qualifications:
- A background in Systems Engineering (Windows and Linux)
- Experience with deployment, configuration and delivering solutions
- Experience with network technologies and system
- Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques and frameworks
- Hands-on skills in penetration test
- Well-developed writing skills and experience maintaining technical documentation
- Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, OR other relevant industry certifications/experience
