Job Brief

Security engineers are responsible for testing and screening security software and for monitoring networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions.

Duties and responsibilities:

Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information
Identify and define system security requirements
Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices
Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement
monitoring and assessing emerging threats and vulnerabilities to the environment and ensuring those requiring action are addressed
Security Incident Management, advice and education and maintaining the currency and health of the deployed security tools
Perform penetration tests/vulnerability assessments on company’s systems and software

Qualifications:

A background in Systems Engineering (Windows and Linux)
Experience with deployment, configuration and delivering solutions
Experience with network technologies and system
Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques and frameworks
Hands-on skills in penetration test
Well-developed writing skills and experience maintaining technical documentation
Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, OR other relevant industry certifications/experience

Employment contract will be for one term (with a three-month probation period) with possibility of renewal.
