Summary
The International Knowledge School (IKS) is an international school based in Tripoli (Gasr Ben Gheshire) that is accredited by ASIC & Pearson. It was established in 2010 and was approved by the Department of Foreign Education in Libya, and has adopted a British curriculum. IKS currently offers pre-primary, primary, lower Secondary, and high school education. The School provides a fun and effective learning environment with its excellent facilities including a science lab, a computer lab, a library, a modern theater, a kitchen with a dining hall and canteen, a football pitch, a basketball/ volleyball court, etc. This is in addition to various other facilities and services such as the school’s clinic and transport service. Job Description
Subject teacher is responsible for maximizing the academic progress of the students they teach, working with colleagues to participate fully in the development of the department. Subject teacher promotes a positive, purposeful and professional working atmosphere that encourages cooperation and challenge, whilst valuing the contribution that individuals make to the success of the department.

Job Requirements
- Appropriate degree, or other appropriate teaching qualification.
- Minimum three years’ teaching experience.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum of England (plus IGCSE/GCSE and/or Pearson as appropriate).
- Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
- A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children.
- Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background.
- Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language
- A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life.
