Diploma, Education Level & Minimum Experience

Diploma/degree preferably in public health, social science, statistics

Experience of 1 years in a similar position, preferably in iNGO

Required Knowledge & Competencies.

Knowledge:

Statistics, reporting, Knowledge of participatory methodology

Computer literacy such as Microsoft office to be able to work on smart phone/tablet-based data collection applications

Competencies:

Fluent in Arabic

Working knowledge of English (both oral and in writing)

Good knowledge of the area and local customs

Preferably, previous experience working with Public Health centers/hospitals

Soft skills:

Analytic, Multi skills and adaptable, Organized; Planning; Rigour; Autonomy; Diplomacy

Means

Main Purpose of the position

Under the direct supervision of the Health Coordinator and overall supervision of the Project Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for performing operational assistance to the Terre des Hommes operation related to primary data collection on post-distribution monitoring, vaccination enrollment and FGDs, KAPB, and KIIs with community stakeholders and beneficiaries.

NB: the order of the list below does not provide any kind of priorities to the objectives. They are all part of the position & must be reached.

Objective 1: Conduct data collection using appropriate data collection tools

Attend training on the purpose of the project, data collection training, data entry process, interview tips;
Attend to the relevant trainings on TDH policies such as on PSEAH, antifraud, etc.;
Liaise with the Health Focal Point/Coordinator to develop data collection schedule and make sure all necessary equipment are provided;
Liaise with the Health Focal Point to make sure the focal points within your assigned facilities are informed of your presence;
Carry out data collection in the vaccination centers and enter data on tablets;
Conducts Interviews and Focus Group Discussions targeting Community stakeholder and direct/indirect beneficiaries to assess the outputs and outcomes of the implemented activities;
Ensure that questionnaires have been thoroughly checked and completed;
Report any assistance, challenge and troubles in obtaining data to the Health Focal Point/Coordinator.
