Class Teacher Grade 2

A classroom teacher shall be an experienced, passionate educator that can implement research-based, effective instructional practices that will enable each child to be successful

Demonstrate mastery of subjects to be taught and the ability to deliver instruction in a clear and creative way

Create and implement lesson plans that are aligned with our standards

Create, develop and modify lessons and materials that engage students in the learning process

Create and maintain an organized, safe classroom which supports all learners and promotes collaboration, critical thinking, communication, cultural awareness and creativity

Use available technology to enhance learning

Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times when communicating with students, parents, teachers, administrators.

Inform and engage parents in the education of their children

Maintain a positive outlook and contribute to problem-solving initiatives with students, teachers, parents and administrators

Assist with support duties

Attend staff meetings and staff development training
