The ICRC Delegation in Libya has a vacancy for:
Cashier / Accounting Support
The position will be based in the Tripoli Sub Delegation
Main Responsibilities:
- Handles the delegation’s cash disbursements and payments
- Ensures accuracy and completeness of accounting transactions in accordance with financial procedures
- Carries out daily cash count, control and reconciliation
- Checks all receipts, invoices, supporting documentation for payments
- Participates in monthly closing activities
- Explains cash procedures to all staff
- Reports of any irregularities immediately
- Coordinates money transfers and help finance department when needed
- Participates in cash flow management, ensuring sufficient liquidity and handling cash replenishment from the bank
- Translates all invoices and documents related to his work from Arabic to English or vice versa
- Files and reports on relevant documents
Required background, skills and experience:
- Secondary school or technical college
- 2 years’ work experience in a similar function
- Proven capacity work independently and efficiently
- Excellent organizational and methodical abilities
- Rigorous and trustful person
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Service-oriented, with a strong sense of priorities, flexibility, confidentiality
- Excellent computer skills, especially Excel
