Job Description

The Branch Manager leads all operational and administrative activities within the branch to ensure the achievement of set objectives. They provide technical and administrative supervision to the team, including Sales Supervisor, drivers, and display coordinators, as well as administrative oversight of the Accountant and Storekeeper. The Branch Manager focuses on improving performance, increasing revenue, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring customer satisfaction while aiming to enhance the company’s market share.

Duties & Responsibilities

Team Management:

  • Lead the team and ensure daily task assignment for the Sales Supervisor, Accountant, and Storekeeper.
  • Monitor team performance, provide training, and enhance their knowledge of the company’s products.
  • Motivate employees and foster teamwork to achieve branch objectives.

Attendance and Discipline Monitoring:

  • Supervise employee discipline and ensure adherence to official working hours.
  • Review attendance records and address issues related to tardiness or absenteeism.
  • Enforce company policies related to workplace discipline.

Sales Management and Market Expansion:

  • Develop monthly and annual sales plans in collaboration with the Sales Supervisor to achieve company goals.
  • Monitor the performance of the Sales Supervisor and field sales teams to ensure market penetration.
  • Build strong relationships with key clients, such as wholesalers and restaurants.
  • Provide analytical reports on sales performance and customer satisfaction.

Financial Operations Management:

  • Oversee the Accountant’s work, including:
    • Accurately managing the documentation cycle.
    • Handling and recording daily payments and collections.
    • Preparing revenue and expense reports.
    • Coordinating with the Chief Accountant on technical tasks assigned to the branch accountant.

Warehouse and Inventory Management:

  • Provide administrative supervision to the Storekeeper and coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to ensure:
    • Regular inspection of products.
    • Proper organization and storage of inventory to prevent damage.
    • Receiving and dispatching goods as per procedures.
    • Maintaining appropriate stock levels to avoid shortages or excesses.

Quality Assurance and Customer Service:

  • Monitor customer satisfaction with the company’s products and resolve complaints or issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and operational policies.
  • Provide feedback to senior management to improve products or processes.

Daily Management and Reporting:

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on branch performance, sales, and inventory.
  • Suggest improvements to processes and strategies to increase product market share.
  • Coordinate with other departments and divisions to achieve shared objectives.

Job Requirements

Qualifications required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in branch or sales management (3-5 years minimum), preferably in the food industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with accounting and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Good knowledge of the food industry and local markets.

  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on product and service quality.
