Job Description
Specific tasks and responsibilities:
- Prepare Materials for Awareness Sessions: Design and develop relevant materials for awareness sessions, including presentations, handouts, posters, flyers, and any other resources needed. Ensure that the materials are clear, engaging, and aligned with the project’s objectives, including topics such as health, and MHPSS.
- Develop a Plan for Awareness Sessions and Activities: Create a detailed plan for conducting awareness sessions and related activities. This should include selecting target audiences, Children and parents setting dates and venues, determining objectives for each session, and establishing a clear timeline.
- Assist the Community-Based Officer in conducting vulnerability assessments and referring cases to appropriate services based on the children’s needs.
- Enter and update data in relevant databases regularly.
- Conducting Washington group on disability assessment for all the children to identify the disability.
- Support teamwork by performing additional tasks as requested by the line manager or Project Manager, and assist with other responsibilities for the effective development of CESVI activities.
- Represent CESVI professionally in meetings and foster strong cooperation with local partners and other relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and training sessions on topics such as Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and mental health.
- Uphold CESVI’s Standard Operating Procedures and Code of Conduct, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to guidelines for preventing sexual harassment.
Job Requirements
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Public Health, Communications, or a related field.
A medical degree (Doctor of Medicine or equivalent) is highly desirable, particularly for roles involving health and psychosocial support (MHPSS). - Experience:Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in designing and delivering awareness sessions, developing educational materials, and working on community-based projects, preferably in the fields of health, mental health, psychosocial support (MHPSS), or child protection.
- xperience in conducting vulnerability assessments and referring cases to appropriate services.
Proven experience in data entry, database management, and maintaining accurate records.
Familiarity with the Washington Group on Disability Statistics or similar disability assessment tools is highly desirable. - Experience working with children and parents in community settings, particularly with vulnerable or marginalized populations.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong ability to design and develop engaging and culturally appropriate awareness materials (e.g., presentations, handouts, posters, flyers).
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to create detailed activity plans, set timelines, and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams, local partners, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data entry and management, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to conduct assessments and identify needs, particularly for children and families.
- Knowledge of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and mental health topics is an asset.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines, including preventing sexual harassment.
