Job Summary:

The Medical and Pharmaceutical Promotion Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the promotion of pharmaceutical products and medical services to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and other relevant stakeholders. This role involves developing and implementing promotional strategies, managing a team of medical representatives, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. The supervisor will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to achieve business objectives and enhance the company’s market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

Recruit, train, and supervise a team of medical representatives.

Set performance targets and monitor the team’s progress.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Organize and lead team meetings to discuss strategies, challenges, and achievements.

Promotional Strategy:

Develop and implement effective promotional strategies for pharmaceutical products and medical services.

Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials, such as brochures, presentations, and digital content.

Identify key opinion leaders (KOLs) and establish relationships to support product promotion.

Plan and execute promotional events, such as conferences, seminars, and workshops.

Market Analysis:

Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive activities.

Analyze sales data and market feedback to adjust promotional strategies accordingly.

Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and new product launches.

Compliance and Ethics:

Ensure all promotional activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.

Provide training to the team on compliance-related topics, such as pharmacovigilance and anti-bribery laws.

Monitor and report any adverse events or product complaints in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and hospital staff.

Address inquiries and provide accurate information about products and services.

Collaborate with the sales team to align promotional efforts with sales objectives.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare regular reports on promotional activities, team performance, and market trends.

Maintain accurate records of interactions with healthcare professionals and promotional events.

Submit reports to senior management and provide insights for decision-making.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or medical promotion, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical products and the healthcare industry.

Proficiency in data analysis and market research.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

Certifications: Relevant certifications in pharmaceutical marketing or regulatory affairs are advantageous.

Working Conditions:

This role may require frequent travel to meet with healthcare professionals and attend promotional events.

Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate the schedules of healthcare professionals.
