About the job
The main duties and responsibilities of the EORE training officer will be:
- Analyzing gathered data, and where necessary dissemination of information.
- Report the EORE Project Manager to ensure he/she is fully briefed on all issues during project implementation.
- Cooperating and coordinating closely with all humanitarian mine action activities.
- Ensuring that all information collected is accurately recorded in standard formats.
- Participate in Community Liaison
- Conduct Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) training delivery to focal points in the area of responsibility as per EORE Project Managers’ direction.
- Participate in the elaboration of EORE IEC materials and EORE public information campaigns
- Collect information in targeted communities through direct interviews or focus group discussions
- Responsible for own and other team members for safety
- On a daily basis develop IMSMA reporting forms and submit them to Team Leader for verification
- Any other duties as directed by the Line manager.
About you
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Vocational school. Higher education – is an asset.
- Had a First Aid course
- Good knowledge of the English language
- Experience in data collection
- Computer literate, MS Office and Base Camp Garmin
- Driving license
- Physically fit
- Ability to work away from home for extended periods
- Must be able to write reports
- Knowledge of International Mine Action Standards is an asset
