About the job

The main duties and responsibilities of the EORE training officer will be:

• Analyzing gathered data, and where necessary dissemination of information.
• Report the EORE Project Manager to ensure he/she is fully briefed on all issues during project implementation.
• Cooperating and coordinating closely with all humanitarian mine action activities.
• Ensuring that all information collected is accurately recorded in standard formats.
• Participate in Community Liaison
• Conduct Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) training delivery to focal points in the area of responsibility as per EORE Project Managers’ direction.
• Participate in the elaboration of EORE IEC materials and EORE public information campaigns
• Collect information in targeted communities through direct interviews or focus group discussions
• Responsible for own and other team members for safety
• On a daily basis develop IMSMA reporting forms and submit them to Team Leader for verification
• Any other duties as directed by the Line manager.

About you

Essential qualifications and skills:

• Vocational school. Higher education – is an asset.
• Had a First Aid course
• Good knowledge of the English language
• Experience in data collection
• Computer literate, MS Office and Base Camp Garmin
• Driving license
• Physically fit
• Ability to work away from home for extended periods
• Must be able to write reports
• Knowledge of International Mine Action Standards is an asset
