Job Description

The WordPress Developer & Website Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation and management of websites using WordPress. This position is responsible for the front-end and back-end development of all company properties and will guide website architecture so sites are specifically designed with mobile-first responsiveness and are user-friendly. The WordPress Developer & Website Administrator will develop best practices and conduct WordPress training with staff as well as troubleshoot and resolve website problems for clients and co-workers. Job Duties and Responsibilities

Optimize or change WordPress theme to ensure high performing, mobile-first user experience/responsive design
Performing technical analysis, design, and development of new WordPress sites with custom templates
Manage new hosting implementation and maintenance and security
Implementing Cloudflare or other CDN (Content Delivery Network) to ensure websites are working to the highest performance at optimal speeds
Management and enhancement of existing WordPress based sites and their functionality.
Partner with a digital marketing team to complete projects and tasks
Coordinate with external partners to implement solutions and act as project manager for any website changes
Meeting with staff to discuss best practices for publishing content
Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration
Generating and managing WordPress themes and plugins
Conducting website performance tests
Troubleshooting content issues
Conducting WordPress training with staff
Manage all domains and network of transfers
Monitoring the performance of the live website
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
Excellent WordPress technical skills and custom template design
Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
Experience with Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager is a plus
Design experience with Photoshop, Illustrator is a plus
Must be very organized, punctual, and detail oriented
