Action Against Hunger is a humanitarian association founded in 1979, the organization operates in 47 countries in the fields of nutrition, health, food security and livelihoods, water, hygiene and sanitation, mental health and healthcare.
In Libya, AAH is mainly implementing projects in the fields of water, healthcare and livelihoods. In order to implement its current projects, AAH is looking for a Logistics Manager based in Tripoli
Job Description:

Bachelor degree in Civil or construction Engineer , or professional experience in WASH construction or WASH Engineer |

At least 1 year of work experience in a relevant position with an NGO. |
Required Technical Skills | Work experience of network development / rehabilitations |

Good organisational ability
Good knowledge of the intervention area Flexibility |

Language Skills |
Proficiency in Arabic (written and spoken) is essential
Spoken and written English is a plus |
Overall objective of the position | Define and participate in WASH activities |
Mission 1: Prepare the worksites
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Participate in evaluation/assessment missions.
- Identifications of work points for network rehabilitation together with DoW or DoS.
- Identifications of rehabilitation work together with DoE and DoH.
- Notification of site to contractor.
- Organize the work sites and ensure that it is well protected;
- Prepare materials requests and check the quality of materials received;
- Ensure the proper use of the tools required for each worksite.
Mission 2: Supervise the work and participate to the implementation of activities
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Ensure the quality of implementation according to (national and ACF) standards;
- Ensure the proper usage of work monitoring templates during the implementations;
- Monitor the contractors implementation of all construction and rehabilitation of WASH facilities;
- Ensure the advancement of the work according to the planned schedule and ensure the respect of the deadlines;
- Ensure the proper use of Personal Protection Equipment.
Mission 3: Relay ACF activities and objectives to the communities and partners
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Develop contacts and explain the activities and the objectives of the programs to community;
- Community sensitization / mobilization to ensure the smooth implementation of project;
- Conduct technical assessment for rehabilitation work and prepare bill of quantity;
- Monitoring of contractor work in field and ensure that the work is done according to agreed specification / standard;
- Provide inputs for projects reporting;
- Represent ACF in community and stakeholder;
- Respect ACF charter;
- Involve and inform the communities in the implementation of the program;
- Inform the hierarchy about the progress or limits of the work;
Work in collaboration with the stakeholders.
