Volunteer Animators

Position

·         Deliver semi-structured PSS activities in timely, qualitive and effective way, ensuring that children     feel comfortable, safe, and respected.

·         To advocate and monitor safe and child-friendly atmosphere within the CC and report any issues/concerns to the Social Worker – collective PSS and Center Manager. As well as ensuring safe referrals of the individually identified child protection cases to the Social Worker – collective PSS.

·         Screen for and monitor protection needs and gaps in and around the CC.

·         To conduct a daily observation of the children. organize, facilitate, and supervise a variety of

structured and none structured activities within the CC, including collective PSS, social-recreational

and semi-educational activities, parenting sessions, awareness sessions, and Early Childhood

Development activities.

·         Conduct a daily observations of the children’s psycho-social wellbeing catering to the needs of

children of different ages, genders, and abilities

·         Attend meetings and trainings related to child protection activities.

·         Ensure that all games and equipment are accounted for and stored securely at the end of the day.

·         Facilitate and support all sectors (including non-protection) in order to conduct the awareness sessions in the CC.

·         Any other tasks as agreed with the Social Worker – collective PSS.

Minimum requirements

·         High school Diploma

·         Knowledge of psycho-social programming in the humanitarian context

·         Good interpersonal skills

·         Native Arabic – Good written and spoken English.

·         Strong team spirit, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment

·         Excellent observation and analytical skills and capacity

·         Attention to detail and structured way of approaching tasks

·         Able to ensure quick quality delivery in stressful environment

·         Practical and problem-solver

·         Ability to deal with heavy work pressure
