The ICRC Delegation in Libya has a vacancy for:

Travel Officer

The position will be based in the Tripoli Sub Delegation

Main Responsibilities:

• Organizes staff travels by the most cost-effective way;
• Coordinates drop-offs / pick-ups from airports, offices and residences in accordance with internal travel policy;
• Ensures that staff and guests are met on arrival and brought to suitable accommodation (hotel, apartment, house);
• Supports the organization of events/meetings/seminars, coordinating with the parties concerned;
• Assures the follow-up with the different departments for residency permits, visa requests and any other administrative issues;
• Is the focal point for all the partners (hotels, travel agencies, car rentals, etc.);
• Keeps internal files and databases up-to-date always;
• Handles all the payment invoices related to the department.

Required background, skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree, an associate degree or equivalent higher-education degree in administration, travel industry, tourism, or similar field;
• 2–4 years’ experience in a similar field;
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Excellent organizational and methodical skills;
• Sense of responsibility;
• Autonomous; rigorous, resistant to stress;
• Capacity to treat information confidentially;
• Excellent computer skills, especially Excel;
• As an asset, the successful candidate may also have experiences working for embassies, airlines or airports.
