Tender Specialist

Responsibilities:

Ø  To work within the Tendering Department and Project Team to develop tender strategy.

Ø  Prepare technical & commercial proposals.

Ø  To review and manage the customers enquiry process into a workable solution.

Ø  To submit a detailed response to the enquiry documentation and provide answers responses to any subsequent requests for clarification.

Ø  To act as the company’s internal contact point for the customer during the enquiry and bidding processes.

Ø  To develop negotiate and agree confirm contract specifications with a variety of external groups including contractors end-users and other suppliers.

Ø  To develop and maintain relationships with the engineers and decision makers within the customer organizations.

Ø  To handle incoming tenders and by keeping a prioritized listing of outstanding tasks.

Ø  To respond to the tender participant’s (technical based) questions requests in a timely and efficient manner.

Ø  To clarify subsequent documents and to prepare detailed tender documentations in a timely manner for contract engineering to execute the contract.

Ø  Attend clarification meetings with Client when required.

Ø  All other duties as relevant to the post.

Ø  Flexible in the face of conflicting priorities.

Ø  Capable of demonstrating previously achieving successful performance within a team environment.

Personal Specification

Ø  Degree level education is preferred.

Ø  Must have an engineering education and background.

Ø  Computer literacy.

Ø  Knowledge of contractual terms and conditions.

Ø  Highly responsive to client requirements.

Ø  Including on time responses and incorporating changes when requested.

Requirements:

Ø  Experience in a similar role preferably in Oil and Gas process applications.

Ø  Commercially aware engineer.

Ø  BSc in Civil Engineering or Similar.

Ø  Experience of dealing with complex tenders.

Ø  Experience of contract negotiation in a commercial environment.

Ø  General MS Office Program skills.

Ø  English reading, writing  and speaking.
