Summary

Arena Libya Construction Company is an EPC construction company, established in the Libyan Oil & Gas sector, as well as the infrastructure and water treatment industries. We are looking for a Tender Engineer to join our team. This role involved pro-active seeking and creation of new project opportunities, liaising and interfacing with clients, communicating with suppliers and manufacturers, and ultimately assisting in preparing Commercial and Technical proposals for project tenders.

Job Description & Responsibilities

This role is ultimately responsible for co-managing the development and response strategy for the tenders within the company’s project portfolio. For a typical tender, the Tender Engineer must review the details of the tender, in assistance of other specialist staff (Technical Team, Procurement Manager, etc). The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Review of Tender Documents
• Preparation and follow-up of tender clarifications if any is required
• Travel to sites/visit client’s offices
• Monitor tender process until awarding

Skills & Qualifications

• Languages: High-level of English expected
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong project management and organisation skills
• Excellent writing and technical reporting skills
• Good understanding of the tendering process and the structure of construction companies
• Experience and confidence to work in a pressurised environment while meeting deadlines
• Proficient in general Microsoft Office programs. Experience using MS Word and MS Excel spreadsheets is required.
