A major oil operations company, among the subsidiaries of the National Oil Corporation, Libya, wishes to hire Sr. System Support Technician
JOB TITLE Sr. System Support Technician JG: 4
DEPARTMENT ICT Department
REPORTS TO: Applications and Technical Support Coordinator
LOCATION: Tripoli Work Mode: 5 days /week 08:00 – 15:30
OBJECTIVES OF JOB
Provide fast and friendly support to all employees to keep downtime for users at a minimum.
Troubleshoot all common software, hardware, and connectivity issues remotely and on site.
Effectively communicate technical and non-technical information to employees and IT team members in person, phone and email.
Work closely with the IT team on IT Helpdesk and IT Services Request applications.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve computer systems and hardware problems
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve all standard software and operating system issues
- Conduct initial diagnoses of nonstandard applications (E&P apps, SAP, ABBY, AIMS, etc.) issues
- Address technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN) and internet
- Troubleshoot network and telephone switches and sockets
- Address telephone and VOIP issues
- Configure new computers, desktops, laptops and workstations
- User and technical support on multifunctioning devices
- Perform preventative maintenance including the installation of service packs, patches, malware and spyware scans
- Set up, support and troubleshoot multimedia equipment, videoconference, TV and beamers in training and conference rooms.
- Assist in cloud services (user level) including OneDrive, Outlook, SharePoint Teams etc.
- Contribute in creating and updating ICT documentations and knowledge base information
- Reduce resolution time for tickets
- Follow IT internal workflows, guidelines and policies
- Report feedback from employees concerning their experience using the company’s computers, hardware, software and solutions
- Assist in ICT storage organization

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High diploma or higher certificate in Information Technology or Telecommunications
- Minimum of 1 year ICT work experience
- Intermediate English language
- Solid knowledge of operating systems, business applications, printing systems and networks

- Experience in IT support on a Help Desk or Service Desk
