Job Overview

We are looking for Senior Urban Designers to join our team. The
successful candidates will be responsible for designing within
the team of architectural designers in undertaking architectural
designs of residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare and
industrial projects of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Design under the guidance of the Head of Architectural
Team and Head of In-House Unit & ensure that the design
is in accordance with the codes & regulations of the
industry.
• Develop accurate architectural drawings.
• Follow the schedule and comply with deadlines assigned by
Head of Architectural Team and Head of In-House Unit.
• Collaborate with structural engineers, MEP engineers, and
other design team members to develop efficient and cost
effective architectural designs.
• Ensure that architectural designs comply with applicable
building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Review and integrate architectural drawings with other
disciplines such as structural, mechanical, electrical, and
plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Ensure timely submission of architectural designs to meet
project schedules and milestones assigned by the Head of
Design.
• Oversee the use of design software (e.g., Autodesk Revit and
AutoCAD for drafting; Sketchup or 3Ds Max for modelling;
Lumion, V-Ray, Corona, or Twinmotion rendering Software;
Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign familiarity, etc.) to developdevelop accurate architectural drawings and models.
• Collaborate with the Architectural Design team to ensure
best possible solution regarding architectural and design
issues.
• Assist in solving complex design challenges by offering
practical and innovative solutions.
• Attend project meetings to discuss progress, resolve issues
within the Architectural Design Unit, as well as within Design
Unit
• Collaborate with Review Unit for faster and more efficient
design output.
• Knowledge in Urban Planning and Master Planning.
Familiarity with design standards and codes according to the
building type and program requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture
• Master in Architecture is preferred
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience as Urban Designer of
residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare and
industrial projects and other civil projects.
Familiarity with the International Building Code (IBC),
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Standards for
Accessibility Design, Fire and Life Safety Standards (NFPA 101
or equivalent), LEED sustainability guidelines, and other
architectural design codes. Familiarity with MEP design codes
such as: ASHRAE 90.1 for energy efficiency, National Electrical
Code (NEC) or IEC Standards, NFPA Standards and CIBSE
Guidelines for HVAC design.

Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in the use of the software used in the architectural
design such as Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Sketchup, 3Ds
Max etc.
• Comprehensive knowledge & understanding of the
international & local codes in architectural design.
Able to produce a comprehensive and detailed working
drawings for architectural plans, details, for residential,
commercial, hospitality, healthcare & industrial projects and
other civil projects.
