What You Can Expect:

• Identifying user and system requirements for new websites and applications
• Prioritizing software development projects, setting timelines and assigning tasks to team members
• Write or review code for various applications
• Run functionality testing and debug code
• Oversee junior web developers and evaluate their performance
• Liaise with designers to decide on UI/UX elements (like graphics and navigation buttons)
• Ensure our software documentation is up-to-date
• Develop features including a cross-platform, responsive web apps, and user analytics
• Define API structures for cross-platform use, implement third-party webhook integrations
• Collaborate with Engineering team to architect code execution, design data schemas, and strategize around potential edge cases
• Work closely with Product Managers and UX Manager to clarify product requirements and deliverable expectations
• Work in a fast-paced Agile environment and participate in rituals like stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint planning meetings
• Participate in code reviews and feedback sessions to maximize growth opportunities

:Job Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience
• Self-motivation and a strong sense of ownership
• Strong knowledge of web frameworks such as Laravel in a production environment
• Strong proficiency on the frontend (Vue.js, Vuex.js, HTML/CSS)
• Data-driven and analytical, and fluency in data structure
• Strong experience with JavaScript asynchronous programming with promises.
• Proficiency with a SQL based database such as MySQL.
• Proficiency with building API’s and understanding the difference with authentication mechanisms.
• Experience with build tools such as Webpack and gulp.
• Competent with revision control systems (Git).
• Passionate about growth, metrics, and user experience
• Understanding of security practices
• Experience as a technical leader to a team of web developers that have built and delivered a large web application
• Owned and led the delivery of major features and components
• Leadership and mentorship experience
• Can present complex ideas to clients and team members in a compelling and energetic way

Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of large and complex software projects from beginning to end in a team-based environment
• Confidently deliver high-quality software by applying critical thinking to products, requirements, and processes
• Stay up to date with the landscape of software engineering best practices, tools, and frameworks
• Understanding of various software architectures and can adapt and compose solutions to unique problems with sustainable and reusable solutions
• Lead and mentor development team towards shared goals and outcomes
• Navigate difficult conversations by providing constructive feedback to teams and clients
• You’ll identify obstacles to ensure quality, improve our user experience and how we build software
• Guide your team to understand and work through changing priorities by bringing positive energy
• Communicate and simplify complex problems in order to foster understanding across multidisciplinary teams
• Apply your knowledge and learnings at an organizational scale
