Functional Area

Engineering Department

Role Summary

The position is under the Engineering Department, reports to the to the Lead CAD Designer Engineer and is Responsible for:-

• The senior engineer will support the lead engineer for technical direction and control within the team including for checking of deliverables prepared by assistant and junior civil/structural Designer.
• Good Understanding of the Application of standards for engineering design

• Good experience in the CAD design software (2D,3D)

• Production of graphical deliverables (2D,3D) .

Non Job Specific Activities

QHSE

• Comply with QHSE Policies and ensure compliance in terms of behavior and training

• Promote Taknia QHSE Management approach in all aspects of the work and commit to continuous improvement

• Attend office QHSE meetings and attend QHSE audits with the QHSE function when requested

• Develops and implement onshore/offshore work in accordance with QHSE requirement

Job Specific Responsibilities

• Preparing civil Plot Plan, architectural drawings, typical substructure,

superstructure, civil infrastructure drawings, Material Take Offs, Requisition, General Civil Specifications

• Preparing Civil Drawings Deliverables (2D,3D) for Detailed Design Phase:

Architectural Detailed drawings, Reinforced Concrete &steel works detailed drawings, Civil Infrastructure

Detailed Drawings.

• Work in the engineering teams under the direction of lead engineers

preparing and producing civil/structural details Drawing (2D,3D) deliverables for projects.

• Work on Detailed Civil Engineering Design: Collection / review of Vendor Data, production of detailed civil

engineering drawings and Schedules, Calculations, Bills of Quantities, Material Requisitions.

• Work on gaining a good understanding of the application of standards for Civil engineering design.

• Work on gaining a good understanding of the technical interfaces between engineering disciplines.

• Work according to CAD office standards within Company procedures or project specifications if is available.

Competencies and skills

• Academic Achievements / Certifications

– Education must be not less than high technical institute diploma in Civil Engineering

– Good spoken and written English.

• Experience

– Minimum 10 years’ experience gained in detailed Civil design on work in oil & gas industry

• Knowledge and Skills

– Satisfactory completion of junior Civil designer career development activities

– Strong understanding of technical application of Civil standards

– Good understanding of how projects are executed and how civil & structural engineering supports the

project delivery

– Strong spoken and written English.

– Advanced knowledge in ACAD 2D, 3D; Microsoft Office package; Internet & Multimedia communication

– Good understanding of how projects are executed and how CAD Office supports the project delivery process.
