Job Title:  Senior Accountant 

Job Type:     Full-time 

Work Location:    Tripoli – Libya.

Report to:        Finance Supervisor

Department:    Finance

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses.
• Establish work flows and processes within the finance department.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
• Execute usual accounting functions, which includes operating the general ledger system and month-end close work.
• Analyze financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances.
• Monitors the financial activity on projects and prepares expenditure reports for project managers as needed.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or higher degree in Accounting or Finance.

Experience:

• 3 years or above of accounting / financial experience

Skills:

• Accuracy
• Strong understanding of accounting theory.
• Highly detail oriented and organized in work.
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
• Advanced level with email and Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be aware of the laws and monetary regulations within Libya.
• Ability to analyze data and capable of finding effective and efficient solutions to problems.
• Strong work ethic and dependable.
• Multitask
• Work under pressure.
