Job Purpose
The Project Security Team within Security Side Ltd has responsibility for the effective management of all security risks and development of appropriate security plans for the projects.
As member of the team, the Local Security Risk manager assists in providing innovative and cost-effective solutions requiring the development of the company projects with regard to overall risk management process. Assist in planning, designing and evaluating approaches to meeting the project objectives in a timely fashion
You will have overall responsibility for creating the preconditions to minimize the current and potential security risks to ensure the secure implementation of the company projects throughout Libya
Ultimately, you will ensure that our company secures its reputation and profitability by controlling risk.
Roles and Responsibilities
| With guidance from the Expat Security Risk Manager, the local SRM is expected to perform the following tasks:
· Analyze, monitor the security indicators – in agreement with project technical and timing objectives. · Develop and execute risk management processes · Participate in the multi-site survey and support site security assessments · Provides direct and consultative support to the design, implementation, and oversight of security Risk Management system for the project · Recommend security controls and risk countermeasures to mitigate/correct vulnerabilities. · Oversees the implementation of preventative measures. · Active support in emergency/crisis situations |
Establish and maintain a close network with national and local actors in the duty area for informal information exchange
Person specification & requirements
Essential:
- Higher education, university degree in defense and/or security
- Security professional with a proven management experience within the security industry, the public sector or armed services, Minimum experience of 3 years.
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Risk Manager
- Knowledge of risk assessment and control
- Excellent communication/reporting skills
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
- Strong computer and research skills
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
- Excellent knowledge of the Libyan context
- Be reactive and proactive
Languages:
Excellent command of oral and written English & Arabic
