Security Guards
The position will be based in Misrata Sub Delegation
Context :
The security Guard is expected to secures promises and personnel by patrolling property: monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment and access points permitting entry. Obtains help by sounding alarms maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment control
Core function :
- Maintain orderly incoming and outgoing traffic of persons or individuals
- Keep a record of all individual coming and going form the office including client staff and those participating or partner organization
- ensure that no assets within the offices are taken out without prior authorization
- secures premises and personnel by patrolling property : monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment and access points permitting entry
- controls traffic by directing drivers
- perform any other duty assigned by supervisors
- Makes sure that the guard post is not left unattended (i.e. does not leave the post until the guard on the next shift has arrived) and ensures proper handover to the next shift.
- Making regular rounds of the in building to maintain security, surveying all entry/access areas, continuous monitoring CCTV ,
- Immediately reports any problem/incident or anything suspicious to his/her hierarchical supervisor.
- Remains awake, alert and on duty post during the shift.
- Forbids any person carrying any weapon to enter the ICRC premises.
- Knows emplacement of fire extinguishers, shovels and any other mean to fight fire. Uses fire extinguishers if necessary
