Cesvi has zero tolerance approach to any form of abuse and sexual exploitation as well as bullying and a range of non-sexual abuse of power perpetrated by Cesvi employee and related personnel against any individual (children and adults) regardless of age, gender, sexuality, disability, religion or ethnic origin.
Cesvi takes all the complaints and concerns about violence against children and SEA seriously and it initiates rigorous investigation of complaints indicating a possible violation of safeguarding policies as well as of Cesvi Code of Conduct and of Cesvi Ethical Code.
Scope of the Position:
Under the operational supervision of Field Coordinator and with technical supervision of MHPSS Specialist, the psychologist is responsible for providing specialized counselling (both at individual and group level) to vulnerable individuals in need of general protection support, to organize MHPSS sessions aimed at building resilience and well-being and addressing protection concerns, including general protection, child protection and gender-based violence, and to support with the design and development of any awareness session and/or training on MHPSS-related topics with a focus on general protection.
General Tasks:
• Design and implement individual counselling plans for the individuals in need of specialized psychological support
• Develop the material for group sessions on PSS targeting vulnerable persons in need
• Support PSS officers in the implement group sessions on MHPSS by using a holistic approach (i.e., working on the whole environment affecting the persons well-being);
• Contribute to the daily high-quality implementation, monitoring and evaluation of psychological support/counselling and other MHPSS activities implemented by the PSS officers, including awareness sessions and other MHPSS and/or recreational activities;
• Effectively use and comply with all the databases, tools, forms and SOPs related to GP/GBV/CP Case Management and other protection-related activities respecting Data Protection and confidentiality principles and guidelines;
• Support senior PSS Officer with the implementation of capacity-building on CP, GBV, GP and MHPSS for colleagues and partners;
• Contribute to complete and transmit on time all management tools required, including Weekly report, Individual Weekly work plan, and Minutes of case management weekly meetings;
• Actively participate to the supervision process, including regular Case review, individual follow-up with MHPSS Specialist;
• Contribute to efficient coordination and sane cooperation with other teams and external partners, especially regarding referrals, referrals follow-up and Case management process;
• Actively contribute to the development of a relevant referral pathway at local level for improve assistance provide to the beneficiaries under the case management;
• Remain always proactive for improving professional practices and proposing relevant activities;
• Fulfil any other additional task requested by the line manager, the Emergency Coordinator and the technical unit;
• Comply with applicable professional standards related to general protection, GBV, and child protection in humanitarian interventions;
• Adhere to Cesvi Children Safeguarding Policy, PSEA Policy, Code of conduct, and report concerns.
• Raise awareness among the children, their caregivers, GBV survivors, and individuals under general protection CM and affected communities about the safeguarding system and how to report concerns.
• Strictly respect all HR rules and procedures regarding working hours and leave/sick request and others.
Documentation and reporting:
• Appropriate case documentation, treatment planning and referral documentation.
• Prepare regular reports for Supervisor and MHPSS Specialist.
• Participate in regular technical support meetings with MHPSS Specialist.
Network and Representation:
• Represent Cesvi in a professional manner in meetings and ensure good cooperation with local partners and other relevant actors;
• Closely coordinate with Cesvi staff and participate in regular meetings with partners and other stakeholders upon request.

Job Requirements
• University degree in Psychology, advanced preferred
• At least 4 years of experience in individual counselling and group sessions
• At least 2 years of experience with children, experience with children with disabilities desired
• Experience with NGOs, INGOs is an advantage
• Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines
• Flexible and collaborative approach to working with colleagues
• Experience in drafting and compiling reports
• Excellent knowledge of Arabic
• Working knowledge of English desirable
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions independently
• Experience facilitating training, Psychological First Aid (PFA) preferred
