Protection Team Leader (Monitoring) Tripoli
Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified, flexible professional to work in Tripoli as Protection Monitoring Team Leader.
About the job The Team Leader has a leading role in the implementation of all DRC’s protection objectives for Libyan and non-Libyan conflict and displacement affected populations as relevant to protection monitoring. The Team Leader manages the protection monitoring field team, contributing to administrative and technical support in close coordination with the Manager. This includes planning of field-based activities in line with Protection Information Management (PIM) principles and Protection Monitoring Standard Operating Principles (SOPs), contributing to Protection Monitoring Report writing and analysis.

About you To be successful in this role we expect you to have strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, ability, and willingness to work with all groups of conflict-affected population, including vulnerable migrants and refugees. Your inclusive communication style ensures contribution to a positive work environment, with space for feedback, learning, and quality activity implementation. Your solid knowledge of the migration context in Libya and of protection risks faced by conflict-affected populations, including migrants and refugees, combined with good verbal and written communication skills ensures you can provide core contributions to monitoring reports aiming to raise protection needs, risks, trends, and gaps. You are a good planner, with experience in managing resources (material and budgets). Moreover, we also expect the following:

We offer: Contract length: 9 months with possibility of extension depending on performance evaluation and funding. Duty Station: Tripoli Start date: TBC.
