Piping Engineer

Job Description

• Preparing work packages contents of Material Take Offs, plots plans, isometric drawings, welding procedures for minor pipping modifications and spool replacement.
• Preparing Hydro Test Procedures, leak test procedures, bolts tightening procedures for gas plant process heat exchangers, vessels and pipes etc, submit to inspection and QA, QC for approval.
• Immediate reaction when there is pipping failure ad process leakage to prepare the requirements for emergency maintenance interventions.
• Reviewing with suppliers specifications and material supplies, assist material staff to technical evaluate offers.
• Compiling and issuance piping isometric drawings by using AUTOCAD or similar Document various stages of Maintenance works in methodical way.
• Provide knowledge of mechanical/piping codes and standards and Mentor planning staff with technical up to date and professional development.
• Participate in constructability reviews for Mechanical/Piping, ni plant modifications and retrofitting.
• Investigate mechanical failures, e.g. process hammering phenomena &cavitations & metallurgical fatigue &corrosion &repeated piping failures such as steam leakage, PVC pipes failures etc and come up with solutions and recommendations.

Educational Level and Training:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 
• English language (speaks, read and write) is vital.

Required Experience:

• At least 5 years direct maintenance experience as a piping engineer or similar role in oil &gas industry.
• Knowledge of plant process principles.
• Experience in MAXIMO or Similar CMMS.
• Fully aware of piping specifications and international standards.

Rotation:

• 120 days on 
• 30 days off
