Job description

Overview of position | Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental, and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants. IOM Libya has been assisting vulnerable migrants, IDPs, and vulnerable host populations, especially in detention centres and at disembarkation points, and organizing community outreach services for stranded migrants.
Under the guidance of the Field Health Coordinator and the Clinical Supervisor (South) in IOM Libya and the direct supervision of the Medical Store Manager in Tripoli, the incumbent is responsible for managing the medical warehouse in Sabha. The incumbent will provide professional assistance to the IOM MHD unit in smoothly implementing health activities and the various responsibilities |

Further information | – A strong level of analytical skills and computer literacy
– A minimum of two years for a candidate with a B.Sc. degree and five years for a Diploma in Pharmacy, with a demonstrable professional experience in the domain of management of stock of medicines and supplies in the health facilities primarily in the context of humanitarian situations; experience of working within the health system of Libya would be preferred; – Experience in implementing health services for migrants, refugees, displaced persons, and other vulnerable groups, including early recovery or post-crisis emergency health programming, would be an added advantage. – Working knowledge of MS Office. – Effective organizational skills and ability to establish priorities and plans, ability to work under pressure and cope with deadlines; – Good written and spoken communication skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a multi-cultural environment; |
