Operation manager

The Petroleum Business Operations Manager will guide the development of two gas fields, including work over of wells and drilling of new wells, determination of reserves, production rates and planning of further development. Secondarily, gas gathering and processing plants are also part of the gas supply program. Building a gas business institutional structure and commercializing the entities into an operational organization.

An Operations Manager in a workover role  typically oversees and coordinates the activities related to workover operations, ensuring that they are carried out efficiently and safely. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:

Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage workover and drilling wells operations: Oversee the activities of drilling and workover in oil fields – operations carried out by company.
• Set performance guidelines: Establish guidelines to improve operational standards and efficiency.
•  Budget and planning : Propose guidelines for setting the division budget, plans, and objectives.
• Safety and compliance: Ensure that all operations comply with safety standards and company policies.
• Technology adoption: Keep abreast of technological changes and ensure the latest applicable drilling technology advances are evaluated and adopted.
• Team management : Manage and supervise teams to achieve operations.

Qualifications

• Qualifications and Education:

BS degree in a field relevant to petroleum engineering from an accredited college or university.

English language mandatory for the candidate.

Experience :

• 15 years of experience in gas field planning, drilling and development, with extensive project management experience.

• 10 years of developing country experience is required and conflict and/or post-conflict country work experience is highly desirable.

• Extensive knowledge of oil and gas concepts, principles and practices of gas field development/operations and the specific challenges present in developing countries.

• Culturally astute to be able to function within developing country culture

Strong writing and presentation skills would be a plus

– Skills : Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management, budgeting and forecasting, and familiarity with business and financial principles.

– Leadership: Excellent communication skills, leadership ability, and outstanding organizational skills.
