Network Engineer

Trans Sahara IT & Communications (TSIC) is a Libya-based technology systems consultancy & integrator, engaged in procuring, managing, deploying, and supporting enterprise infrastructure and applications.

Location: Tripoli.  

Reporting to: Datacenter Unit Manager. 

Salary: will be determined after the interview.

Working hour: Sunday –Thursday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Qualifications & Required Skills: –

Holding a degree and having a technical background will be required to gain a Network Engineer role. Degrees in the following subjects can be included:

• Computer science.
• Computer software/computer systems engineering.
• Computer systems and networks.
• Electrical/electronic engineering.
• Network security management.

Organizations may also have specific requirements depending on their current network configuration. As a guide, a CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification is desirable.

As well as formal qualifications, a Network Engineer job description should include the  following qualities:

• An analytical mind.

• An ability to learn new technologies quickly.

• Good time management skills.
• An ability to follow processes.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Good communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Commercial and business awareness.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Establish a network environment by crafting network configuration; advising and executing DC network infrastructure; defining. Detailing, and enforcing standards.
2. Improve network performance by supervising; solving network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with DC partners and BU on network optimization.
3. Secure network infra by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and supervising access.be able to look at complicated network systems to find flaws or room for improvement.
4. Proactively find opportunities for technology advancement.
5. Plans and coordinates the implementation of network technologies/solutions in support of defined requirements generated by internal customers and growth demands.
6. Plans and executes highly sophisticated network upgrade and migration activity. 
7. Performs analysis and diagnosis of highly sophisticated network problems.
8. Generates operational documentation including a detailed test plan for highly sophisticated networks.
9. Assists with deployment and strategy and related network management systems. helps with developing tools set to manage and maintain enterprise networks.
10. 10.Produce a method of procedures that demonstrate an understanding of changes proposed and how the change will be executed with minimal service impact.
