Job description

Overview of position | Under the overall supervision of the Project Manager (PM) and direct supervision of the MRRM/DA field Assistant and National Officer (FA/NO), the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for assisting the (FA/NO) and PM on a wide-range of issues associated with development and implementation of the Migrant Resource and Response Mechanism (MRRM) activities in Gatroun |
Role objectives | 1. Act as the focal point to support the MRRM/DA field assistant and national officer (FA/NO) in the coordination of the (mobile and non-mobile) team activities related to MRRM in the Area of Responsibility (AOR) in addition to the administrative related issues.
2. Support in the coordination and monitoring the implementation of activities and ensure timely delivery of MRRM services in the targeted locations in Gatroun.
3. Monitor and verify the data collected related to migrants/ beneficiaries registration and profiling, services provided (including distribution of NFIs, food kits, Hygiene kits etc.), and ensure proper tracking and reporting on regular basis in coordination with the Information management (IM) assistant and the senior project assistant.
4. Support in the field activities reporting and send regular updates to the FA/NO and IM assistant as requested by the supervisor.
5. In coordination with the FA/NO and the MRRM media and communication staff, support the dissemination of the information awareness raising activities.
6. Support in the organization of community-based activities that promote to the Community Engagement and Two-Way Communications between migrants and host community.
7. Support the coordination with the various IOM Units (Direct Assistance, Health, VHR, DTM and Protection and CT) working in Gatroun to ensure appropriate assistance to vulnerable migrants.
8. Support the FA/NO and PM in the development of partnerships with local actors including local government actors, embassies, migrant communities focal points, and other UN and I/NGOs partners working in these locations to maintain proper coordination of the activities implemented and avoid any duplication and to facilitate any referrals for support.
9. Support the MRRM media and communication assistant in preparing the visibility materials and collect all the photos of relevant activities, including the interest stories and quotes from the beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
10. Ensure proper monitoring of the staff performance under his/her direct supervision and support in their training and capacity building as required.
11. Ensure proper management of the warehouse and accurate tracking of items received, stored and dispatched.
12. Assist in informal translation of project related documents (English and Arabic) under his/her AOR.
13. Ensure gender mainstreaming throughout activities, addressing protection, social, environmental and other relevant cross-cutting concerns
