Job Description

The project “Enhancing the resilience of vulnerable girls and boys in West Libya through access to quality education and PsychoSocial Support services”, funded by UNICEF, intends to promote a favorable protection environment for girls and boys affected by the crisis in Western Libya through protection monitoring, provision of psychosocial assistance, child protection services and safe learning environment.

Specific tasks and responsibilities:

1.  Watch over people’s security:
   – Responsible for opening and closing the centre.
   -Screen and organize entries and exits,  movements of people inside and outside the social center   day.
   – Check the identity of visitors and inform the building manager of their arrival;
   – Register all movements of visitors;
   – Control the crowd if necessary.
   – Report immediately any disruptions or problems;
   – Report immediately any major event.
   – Control the parking lot.
   – Supervise the premises
2. Watch over the security of the premises and goods:
   – Watch over the security of the equipment;
   – Help transport material when charging and discharging;
   – Help with repairs and construction jobs in the premises;
   – Watch over the security of the premises: enclosures, gate, etc.
3.  Miscellaneous tasks:– Start and switch off the generator;
   – Help other employees if necessary;
   – Contribute to the treatment of waste;
   – Participate in the upkeep of the building
   – Contribute to the COVID-19 response plan by overseeing and reporting about the correct                 application of safety measures within the premises while supporting the implementation of
   Said measures and related tasks as instructed by the Logistic Manager.

Duty station: Misrata Bayti Center
Responsible to: Hierarchically and functionally to the Logistics Manager

Job Requirements

1. High Diploma graduate.
2. 2 years of working experience in similar position.
3.  Past guarding experience desirable.
4.  Basic English speaker.
5.  Personal record to be clear of any convictions.
6.  Ability to handle stressful situations.
7.  Physically fit.
8.  Ability to maintain high alertness level for prolonged period of time.
