Mechanic Supervisor

An established company in the Oil & Gas services sector is seeking an experienced Mechanic Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of its mechanical maintenance team. This role involves ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with operational standards while providing technical expertise and leadership to the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, particularly in Wireline and Slickline trucks, cranes, and offshore units, with a proven track record in supervision.

This position will be reporting to the Operations Manager and open to local candidates only.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of mechanics, assigning tasks based on priorities and expertise.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members during repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Operations:
  • Plan and oversee the execution of preventive maintenance tasks for all mechanical assets.
  • Ensure the availability of spare parts and tools to avoid interruptions in maintenance operations.
  • Conduct regular audits of equipment and maintenance procedures to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• QHSE Compliance:
  • Enforce adherence to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policies.
  • Conduct safety inspections and address any non-compliance issues within the team.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure all activities are carried out in a secure manner.
• Reporting:
  • Provide comprehensive maintenance reports covering team performance, equipment status, and resource needs.
  • Report any critical equipment failures or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role (preferably in the oil and gas industry).
  • Strong knowledge of Wireline (WL) and Slickline (SLK) trucks and cranes.
  • Solid understanding of OSU (Offshore Units) for WL and SLK operations.
  • Background in auto-electricity and preventive maintenance scheduling.
  • Experience managing minimum spares and Stock on Hand (SOH).
