MEAL Assistant

Position Title: MEAL Assistant.

Field Site: Tripoli.

Deadline: 03rd March 2022

Job Summary:

Under the guidance of the MEAL Manager, the MEAL Assistant will be responsible for assisting in all the MEAL related activities including, but not limited to: monitoring progress on project indicators, elaboration of monitoring and evaluation tools, conducting surveys, maintaining databases, producing monthly factsheets, as well as assisting in the drafting of reports. The MEAL Assistant will be based in Tripoli but with frequent trips to project areas outside of Tripoli as needed. The MEAL Assistant will report to the MEAL Manager, but she/he will also work closely with the program team of the project.

Main Tasks:

• Assist MEAL Officers and MEAL Manager in the implementation of project Monitoring and Evaluation Plan.
  • Handle all Community based feedback response mechanism implementation and reporting.
  • Review, clean, and analyze all project data, including but not limited to: health facilities data and training data
  • Assist MEAL Officers in producing monthly factsheets on project progress.
  • Work closely with accountability personnel in maintaining and tracking the community-based feedback and response mechanism as needed.
  • Engage in learning sessions to build internal capacity on the utilization of M&E tools and application of M&E approaches.
  • Support MEAL Officers in data validation and data quality assessments on a regular basis.
  • Update the project databases.
  • Any other duty deemed necessary for the fulfillment of MEAL objectives as discussed with the supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A University degree in a related field is required. A high school diploma with relevant experience might be considered;
  • Experience in working with NGOs, INGOs, and other relevant organizations;
  • A minimum of 1-year experience in dealing with data, including data collection, verification, management, and analysis;
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
  • Experience working with migrants and Internally Displaced Persons with different backgrounds is preferred;
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic languages;
  • Good organizational skills and excellent self-motivation skills;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and many administrative details
  in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

Any other duties that may be assigned from time by supervisors
