POSITION TITLE: Logistics/Import Parts Coordinator
REPORT TO: Parts Manager
POSITION CONCEPT:
Responsible for the purchase of all imported parts required.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for purchasing all parts required from
- Maintain contact with franchise principals to ensure optimum order rates and delivery
- Evaluate alternative potential foreign sources of parts and analyze those most suitable and cost-effective to the company within the parameters of franchise
- Liaise with Local Purchasers regarding the optimum (foreign or local) source (regarding quality, availability, logistics, and price) of
- Research the market for potential additional franchises which might be beneficial to the company & report to the immediate manager
- Maintain contact with Genuine, OE other component manufacturers capable of supplying relevant
- Maintain contact with foreign distributors who stock parts compatible with company franchise
- Make periodical orders as planned, maintain contact with the shipping company, negotiate and review the shipping rates and ensure timely
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
- Ensure subordinates have clear objectives and challenging
- Ensure subordinates receive appropriate guidance and training. Recommend training required by all subordinates regularly and specifically at the time of annual
