Position: Internal Accounts Manager

Job Summary:

The Internal Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies, managing the accounting team, and providing accurate financial reporting. This role involves monitoring performance, conducting audits, managing invoices and payments, and maintaining effective control over inventory and debt.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting:
   • Prepare and present detailed financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
   • Analyze financial data to identify trends and make informed recommendations.
2. Performance Monitoring:
   • Monitor internal accounts to ensure compliance with financial standards.
   • Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on financial performance.
3. Audit and Compliance:
   • Conduct internal audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
   • Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and information.
4. Invoice and Payment Management:
   • Review and approve invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
   • Supervise the internal processes for collections and payments.
5. Team Leadership:
   • Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing training and development opportunities.
   • Allocate tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient execution.
6. Financial Planning and Budgeting:
   • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial plans.
   • Monitor budget performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
7. Cost Management:
   • Analyze operating costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
   • Provide recommendations to improve financial efficiency.
8. Policy Development:
   • Develop and update financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and transparency.
   • Ensure company-wide adherence to established financial policies and procedures.
9. Inventory Control:
   • Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize availability and minimize waste.
   • Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
10. Debt Management:
    • Manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection and reduce financial risk.
    • Analyze debt reports and provide strategies for effective debt management.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial and accounting software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
