Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

Overview / Responsibilities

Contango is currently recruiting, Instrumentation and Controls Engineers and Designers to work in our Tripoli office for Control projects

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Ensuring project schedules and client approved budgets are managed and achieved
• Preparing detailed Cost, Time & Resource estimates based on client supplied work scopes
• Ensure design, analysis, documentation and specifications are in accordance with applicable codes, governing statutory regulations, Wood procedures, offshore installation specific design philosophies and meet project objectives and industry best practice
• Adhering to all HSEQ requirements within the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls disciplines in accordance with Wood procedures and management systems
• Originating and checking of documentation including but not limited to specifications, data sheets, SDRL’s, drawings and reports
• Preparing BOM’s and RFQ’s for electrical, instrumentation and controls equipment
• Travelling offshore/ Onshore as required

Skills / Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Engineering Degree
• Relevant design work experience
• 5+ years of experience in oil and gas industry
• Any equivalent combination of experience and / or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may also be considered
• Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA systems.
• Pressure, temperature, flow, and level installation, calibration, and maintenance experience.
• Understand the of operations, safety considerations and applications for common analytical instruments including pH, Conductivity.
• Understand analog, digital, and relay field wiring and troubleshooting.
• Experience building industrial control panels.
• Understand Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology.
