Information Management Engineer

REPORTS TO: Data Management Coordinator
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Technical Information database software
LOCATION Tripoli Work Mode: official office working time
OBJECTIVES OF JOB
Administer existing Technical Document Management System (WAD) and support the day-to-day operations of the technical data archive group in Tripoli office.
Evaluate and implement EDRMS solutions which meets oil and gas business requirement.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrate WAD (or any other future information management solution), including but not limited to updates, user set up, evaluation and implementation etc.
- Archive all incoming E&P documents /records in our archive
- Track all outgoing data from the archive systematically.
- Support users searching and finding the requested data in the archive
- Deliver and collect data to and from users.
- quality check and naming convention of all incoming documents and physical records in our
electronic database system
- Administer electronic archive (integrity checking, coding, and filing of new electronic documents)
- Catalogue data and enter metadata in our electronic archive system
- Prepare data to be sent to our, contractors, NOC, or other companies
- Written documentation of relevant business processes.
- Maintain and keep up-to-date knowledge of data, analytical and information
management technologies in the E&P; industry.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- geoscientist experience with a university degree in computer science or an equivalent
- Industry experience in Electronic document management and Record management solutions.
- Understanding of industrial or relevant information management concept and data workflows.
KEY SKILLS
- Industrial Information management / document management
- Database Design and knowledge of SQL queries.
- Data cataloging and digitizing.
- Scanning and pdf-Filing process
- MS Access, Acrobat Reader/Writer.
- Supervision and Coordination of Archive Requests and applied data governance
- Coordination of Data trading and internal Data movements.
Knowledge Requirements
- Archiving technologies and procedures
- Basic knowledge in G&G interpretation software products
- Advanced knowledge in Computer software products MS-Excel
- Intermediate knowledge in programming and databases.
- Deep understanding of data models, data standards and processes essential.
Communications and Soft skills:
- Communications skills, the ability to professionally communicate with direct reporting team members and line managers.
- English fluency both spoken and written
- Problem-Solving.
- Creativity.
- Able to work and think across a range of disciplines
