ICT Technician

The ICT Technician is responsible for updating and maintaining ICT equipment and for the Helpdesk in ICRC offices in Tunis. She/He is the focal point for all the internal and external interlocutors including service providers (internet, phone, etc)

Main Responsibilities:

• 1st level ICT Helpdesk
• Manage service accounts and invoice payments
• Brief new users on common workplace tools
• Assist in the implementation of ICT projects
• Maintain ICT setup of ICRC office in Tunis
• Manage IT inventory
• Follow-up proactively the latest ICT and telecommunication developments
• Allocate ICT resources according users’ needs in compliance with ICT policies
• Share technical and historical knowledge with the team following ICT documenting procedures

Required background, skills and competencies:

• Excellent organizational skills
• Some degree in IT or management (Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer science or similar field).
• Good ICT knowledge and interest
• 2 years of experience in IT, administration, management or telecommunications
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic
• Capacity to integrate and implement ICRC policies and procedures
• Service minded with proven organizational skills and ability to set priorities and deliver
• Eager to learn and adapt
• Can work independently with minimum supervision, is good at assessing and analyzing
• Good communicator and listener, can express own views and ideas in a synthetic manner
• Ability to work in a team
• Interest for humanitarian activities (especially ICRC’s)
• Able to travel frequently
