The ICRC Delegation in Libya has a vacancy for
Human Resources Assistant
The position will be for six months and based in the Tripoli Sub Delegation
The HR assistant provides HR administrative support to the HR team, under the direct supervision of HR Responsible.
Main Responsibilities
- Collects, file and maintain employees’ records: Collects documents and maintains employees’ personnel files (full files for Tripoli based employees, and base file for other locations) and HR databases up-to-date incl. INAS & TAX payment payments’ records.
- Creates and update employees’ file checklists, and facilitate exchange of information with other ICRC offices.
- Edits employment contracts upon instructions, update databases accordingly, schedules and follow up probation periods and contracts’ renewal;
- Prepares Internal and External letters and correspondence and documents for labor office, immigration office and tax office etc.;
- Coordinates with LSU_HR for ICRC ID cards and ensure all employees receive their ID cards;
- Contributes to update the HR folder in the Team Space(TS).
Other Activities:
- Prepares and translate general correspondences English to Arabic vice/versa.
- Can be requested to provide support for HR projects and HR Responsible.
- Promote and apply equity and neutrality as part of the culture of the organization.
- Proactively contributes to create and maintain a solid team spirit, efficient collaboration and cooperation within the HR Team, based on open, constructive and respectful communication.
Required background, skills and competencies:
- High school degree (or more);
- 2/3 years work experience in a similar function in a Human Resources department;
- Excellent command of written and spoken Arabic and English;
- Computer literate (MS Office and HR software);
- Proactivity and ability to carry out tasks independently, while remaining flexible, truthfulness and accuracy in reporting to supervisors;
- Accuracy in collecting and managing data;
- Capacity to handle a lot of sensitive information with strict confidentiality and ethics;
- Able to manage and maintain strict confidentiality;
- Service-oriented, with professional behavior and communication;
- Proven organizational skills, with strong sense of priorities and flexibility;
- Genuine interest in humanitarian activities (especially ICRC’s), previous experience in humanitarian environment an asset;
