Job Description
- Responsible for establishing the HSE management, policies and objectives for the Company.
- Responsible for planning and developing the health, safety and environment procedures and policies.
- Co-ordinate with Departments Managers on the implementation and adherence of HSE system and procedures
- Advice, guide and motivate personnel and management on HSE activities and related technical matters and issues.
- Responsible for organizing HSE training for all personnel and maintaining accurate records.
- Responsible for accident/ incident investigation and plan for requisite action
- Reviews the safety statistics, analysis of non-compliance incidences to clearly identify causes, determine corrective courses of action and identify action steps to avoid recurrence.
- Conduct HSE meetings & training.
- Organize periodic Inspection of company sites and facilities.
- Organize internal / external audits
- Co-ordinate with all site employees on all issues related to HSE procedures and compliance related queries
- Coordinate with the contractors and subcontractors on adhering HSE procedures, rules and instructions.
- Maintain the HSE related information/reports and provide it to the management on weekly/monthly basis or as requested.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental sciences or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar position in the field of HSE.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing safety and environmental programs.
- Occupational health and safety certification (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA)
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques
- Ability to effectively communicate safety policies to people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to cooperate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and cooperate in an intercultural team.
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English. Knowledge of additional languages, including Arabic, will be an advantage.
- Experience of working in occupational health and safety/HSE projects (experience in drilling or seismic is desirable)
- Willingness to work in a rotation system abroad and for long stays abroad
- Resistance to stress, ability to cope with difficult situations (work in a high-risk country)
