Job Description:

We seek a talented and experienced Geophysicist to join our dynamic team of professionals. As a Geophysicist, you will play a pivotal role in the exploration and development of oil and gas reserves. Leveraging your expertise in geophysical techniques and data analysis, you will contribute to identifying and evaluating subsurface structures, reservoirs, and hydrocarbon prospects. From seismic interpretation to reservoir characterisation, you will utilise state-of-the-art technology and methodologies to generate insights that drive strategic decision-making and optimise resource recovery. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct seismic data interpretation and analysis to delineate subsurface structures, identify potential drilling targets, and assess reservoir properties.
• Utilise advanced geophysical software tools and techniques to process, model, and visualise seismic data for accurate interpretation and decision support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geologists, reservoir engineers, and petrophysicists to integrate geophysical data into reservoir models and development plans.
• Perform quantitative analysis and risk assessments to evaluate exploration and development opportunities, assess resource potential, and optimise drilling strategies.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in geophysics to continuously enhance project performance and deliver innovative solutions.
• Support field operations by providing technical guidance, conducting quality control checks, and troubleshooting geophysical issues as needed.
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and technical insights effectively through written reports, presentations, and stakeholder engagements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geophysics, Geology, Petroleum Engineering, or related field. PhD preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in geophysical exploration and development within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in seismic data interpretation, processing, and analysis using industry-standard software packages (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom, Paradigm).
• Strong understanding of geological concepts, reservoir characteristics, and hydrocarbon systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in seismic attribute analysis, inversion techniques, and quantitative interpretation methodologies.
• Experience with reservoir characterisation, depth conversion, and uncertainty analysis is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
